Zoos & Safari Parks

We are lucky in the south west to have some superb zoo's and safari parks, they are a great day out with lots of animals, lots of plants, lots of space. It's ideal for families but people of all ages will have a good time. It's fun and surprising and exciting and unpredictable!

Longleat Safari & Adventure Park

Longleat Safari & Adventure Park has been one of the UK’s best-loved attractions for over 60 years. It features an extensive Safari Park, is home to BBC Animal Park and CBBC Roar and also has over 15 fabulous attractions, including the new multi million pound Jungle Kingdom and Longleat House, one of the most stunning stately homes in Britain.


Paignton Zoo

With more animals than anyone else in the South West you're in for a really wild time. See them all - giraffes, lions, gorillas, cheetahs and thrilling crocodiles, plus our cheeky meerkats, colourful snakes and amazing monkeys. There are also indoor play areas, the Jungle 

Express train and uniquely, six habitats that mimic the animals' natural environment. Visit Paignton Zoo and get close to over two thousand creatures. But you'd better leave a whole day - you'll need it.

Bristol Zoo

At Bristol Zoo Gardens you can enjoy an amazing world of animals, all within their award winning 12 acre gardens. With over 400 species and nine animals houses under cover, it's a great day out in Bristol whatever the weather. We suggest you allow 2-5 hours for your visit to really take in everything on offer. By visiting Bristol Zoo you will be directly contributing to the conservation of endangered species and habitats. Admission prices include a 10% voluntary donation to help support the zoo's conservation projects.
